Places to Visit Near Dhanaulti

Mussoorie (26 Kms approx from Dhanaulti)

If you are looking forward to visit some interesting places nearby Dhanaulti, then you should not miss to visit the 'Queen of Hills' Mussoorie. The place is a home to several attractions namely, Kempty Waterfalls, Gun Hill, Bhatta Falls, Lal Tibba etc. Kempty Falls located at a height of 1364 above sea level are surrounded by mountain ranges and gives them a naturally unique set up. It is exciting to watch the gushing water falling from the falls. This fall is open for visitors all year round except in monsoon. One of the famous tourist attractions after Kempty Falls, Gun Hill is the second highest peak in Mussoorie. From this peak, you will find some of the most enthralling views of the gigantic peaks of Himalaya like Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara, and the Gangotri group. This is a lovely resort surrounded by the enormous apple-growing fields, which produce various varieties of apples like Golden Delicious, Early Sunberry, Red Delicious and Royal Delicious. You look around the orchard here and buy apples.

Dashavatar Temple

This temple is one of the most peaceful places to visit in Dhanaulti. The ancient captivating architecture is something you shouldn't miss here. There are beautiful sculptures embossed in the panels of the temples and inscriptions carved on the walls.

Tehri Dam (26 Kms approx from Dhanaulti)

Tehri dam here is linked to the Tehri Lake. It will surprise you to know that this is the highest dam in India and is among the highest in the world. Now you can imagine the view you will experience from this dam. It is around 260.5 meters high and 592 meters long. It is one of the must-visit locations here.
