About Paragliding

Paragliding is the adventure sport of flying parachutes. This recreational activity is the closest that a human can get the feeling of flying like a bird! This sport requires comparatively less training than other adventure sports, which makes it an obvious choice among adventure junkies.

In India, Paragliding is performed using a foot-launched aircraft, which is quite lightweight and does not have a rigid structure. The glider makes use of a harness to secure him to the structure; and a fabric wing is used to aid the flight of the glider.

What makes it the easiest form of lightweight aviation is, the glider has to just jog downhill a slope to gain flight. It is equally safe apart from being easy to perform, as there is no involvement of jumping over the cliffs or take a free-fall. In paragliding, the absolute control is in your hands. You can prolong your adventure or abort the launch if you feel uncomfortable; it is absolutely your call. It is completely different from parasailing, which is done on a beach; so do not be confused between these two.
