The lake, with placid and clear water, is 34km long and features Randha Falls, which is a breath-taking waterfall. Sandhan Valley (23kms from Bhandardara Village)

The 'Valley of Suspense' and the 'Valley of Shadows' are the other names of this magnificent destination, Sandhan Valley. Situated in the Western Ghats, near Samradh Village in Maharashtra, Sandhan Valley is home to a lot of adventure sports and activities; and attracts a large number of trekkers. Randha Falls (10kms from Bhandardara Bus Stop)

Randha Falls forms over Pravara River and is a beautiful sight to witness as it cascades down from a height of 170ft. The viewing point right above the falls offers a stunning and picturesque scene and is one of the most flocked places in Bhandardara. Randha Fallsalso serves as the primary source of hydro power in Bhandardara region.

Umbrella Falls (500 metres from Bhandardara Bus Stop)

This visually stunning cascade descends from a height of 500ft on circular rocks, forming the shape of an Umbrella; thus, the name Umbrella Falls. The waterfall is connected to the Wilson Dam via footbridge, which offers a spectacular view and experience of the beautiful waterfall.

Kalsubai Peak (12kms from Bhandardara Village)

The highest peak of Sahyadri Hill range, Kalsubai Peak is located majestically at an altitude of 5400ft, and is a major attraction for adventure junkies and trekkers. Various trekking routes are in place to reach the summit, the most famous one being from the village of Baari. The route encompasses an important landmark, a Hanuman Temple, which is located near to a stream, which is actually the Waki river, a tributary of Pravara River. From this temple, the route leads the trekkers straight to the summit. Another route via Indore is quite unexplored with ample dangerous patches. In winters, night trek is allowed at Kalsubai, where one can experience the jubilant sunrise from the summit.

Ratangad Fort (500 metres from Bhandardara Bus Stop)

Situated in Ratanwadi Village, Ratangad is a 400-year old ancient fort, located at a height of 4250ft. A highly popular trekking destination, Ratangad Fort is a visual delight as well. The fort has a natural rock cavity on its peak, which is called 'Nedhe' (Eye of the Needle). The fort has 2 caves and several wells on the top. Trekkers can view the beautiful valley in Sahyadri hill range while trailing through small fields and dense forests. The trek is simple, as compared to Kalsubai, but it is equally beautiful and visually stunning as well.

Amruteshwar Temple (17kms from Bhandardara Village)

This ancient temple of Shiva is situated on the banks of the holy river Pravara. The temple is 1200 years old and was built by the rulers of Shilahara Dynasty, dating back to the 9th Century AD. Constructed in Hemadpanthi style of architecture, the main shrine of Amruteshwar Temple encompasses beautiful rock carvings. Beautiful murals decorate the temple's ceilings and walls which a pretty sight to the eyes.
